My purpose

I live to echo a love greater. To walk an honorable path. To love my wife with the kind of love that gave itself for me. And to leave a legacy not in what I own, but in stories, memories, and footsteps that lead others toward Jesus.

The book

The Path Papa Made

The Path Papa Made

I wrote this story as both visioncasting and a declaration of the type of father I want to be to my child.

It's is a story about legacy in its quietest form. Not the kind we leave in monuments or words, but the kind we leave in the paths we walk every day. It's a book about presence, patience, and the steady love that shapes a child long before they're old enough to name it.

About me

What

excites

me, and

where my

passions

are.

I feel most alive when I'm building things that matter. Growth has been my craft for years, and it still is. But the most meaningful building happens away from the work, in the slow, unglamorous projects no one is asking me to make, but that I believe will matter more, and longer, than anything I'll be paid to build.

FAQs

The

questions

I get asked the

most

Do you do consulting?

Yes, especially with early-stage brands in the health and wellness space. That said, my loyalty lies with Common Thread Collective. If the work you're looking for overlaps with what CTC offers, I'll point you there first and we can work together through them.

I'd love to meet you, can we meet up?

Absolutely. If you're in Miami, I'd love to grab coffee in person. If not, send me an email at jon@jonkalis.com or reach out on social, and we can meet up virtually.

Why are you writing a childrens book?

Honestly? It wasn't my intention. The Path Papa Made started as a kind of vision-casting for the dad I hoped to become. A story I wrote for my son before he was born. But somewhere in the writing, I realized it had grown into something bigger than just a gift for him. It became a story about consistency, presence, and the quiet legacy of fatherhood, the kind of thing I think a lot of us are quietly looking for. So I'm sharing it.

Are you hiring or collaborating with others?

At the moment, yes. I'm currently looking for an illustrator for The Path Papa Made. I also run a small startup lab here in Miami, Eight Gates Studio, where I'm always open to connecting with people building interesting products or ideas worth scaling. If either of those sounds like you, get in touch.

Are you religious?

Yes and no, depending on what you mean by religious. I believe in Jesus, and because of that, I try to live in a way that reflects His teachings. I believe He is the one true God, and my actions, habits, and rhythms are an expression of that faith. If you don't share the same belief, you're still welcome here. No pressure, no judgment, just an open conversation.
